Please appreciate that we cannot wait to welcome you to the studio! However, we must have these policies in place to protect us all.

Failure to comply with salon policies may result in refusal of service and charged for your full appointment.

Covid Policy

Due to the growing numbers of covid cases and with keeping vulnerable staff and clients in mind, we feel that we have been left with no other choice but to enforce a new, stricter covid policy, effective from 17/01/2022 until further notice.

Please note – the following applies to every client, regardless of vaccination status.

1. There will no longer be any waiting facilities within the salon – please arrive at your appointment time and no earlier. The main salon door will remain locked for this reason. At your appointment time please knock and wait with your compulsory face mask on.

2. You must arrive to your appointment alone - no guests or children will be permitted within the salon.

3. Before entering the salon, you will be asked to confirm that you have received a negative lateral flow result on the day of your appointment. Staff will also be performing lateral flow tests every morning before the start of their working day.

4. Regardless of covid status, you must not enter the salon if you are showing any flu-like symptoms, are self isolating or are awaiting PCR results. This includes but is not limited to cough, cold, sore throat, high temperature, sickness, upset tummy.

5. If you or somebody within your household has tested positive with Covid within the previous 10 days from your appointment, you will be required to reschedule.

6. If you have been in close contact with somebody that has tested positive with Covid within the previous 72 hours (excluding anybody within your household – see point above), you will be required to reschedule.

7. By booking an appointment with us during these times, you agree to all our salon policies and the risk of unexpected circumstances arising, potentially incurring cancellation charges.

8. It is compulsory that you read and agree to this policy ahead of each appointment with us. A form will be emailed to you after booking an appointment with us which must be completed before arrival. Failure to comply with any of the above policies will result in you being turned away and charged for your full appointment in accordance with our 48-hour cancellation policy.

We are sorry to have to enforce these strict policies, however we cannot afford to accommodate any more losses – health or financial.

Treatment Times

Quite often we are working to a tight schedule, therefore if you arrive late for your appointment, your treatment may have to be shortened. If you are running too late, we may have to reschedule your appointment and late cancellation fees will apply.

There is free parking on site, but please allow time for traffic when making your way to an appointment.


Please provide 48 hours to cancel or amend appointments to avoid late cancellation charges.

50% of original treatment fee will be charged if you cancel within 48 hours of your appointment.

100% of original treatment fee will be charged if you cancel within 12 hours or fail to turn up to your appointment.

You will be required to pay these charges immediately or failing this, before your next treatment is booked.

Booking Fee

We only take bookings via our online booking system - this will ask for your card details upon booking which in turn protects us from last minute cancellations and no shows.

If you have a course of treatments or would use a gift voucher, you must still book this way with your card details.

Please note - no payment will be taken until your appointment, except circumstances where we need to charge your card. 


All products purchased may be returned within 28 days if they are unused and still in the original packaging.

Due to the nature of services provided, beauty treatments are non-refundable. If you are unhappy with the results from your treatment please notify us within 24 hours to allow us to rectify this for you.

Gift vouchers are available to purchase from the studio or via email.  Gift vouchers are valid for 6 months from date of purchase, are non refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash.

Patch testing

You must receive a patch test a minimum of 24 hours before your appointment if any of the following apply:

(This applies to all lash and brow treatments we offer, excluding brow waxing or threading)

  • You have not received that particular treatment with us before
  • You have not received that particular treatment with us within the last 6 months
  • After a change in medical history (this includes Covid, vaccinations, pregnancy and breastfeeding)


Due to the nature of the business, children under the age of 16 are not permitted into the studio, unless booked in for a Princess Polish. 

Children must be aged 5-12 to book in for a Princess Polish and must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times. Parent/guardian will also be required to fill out a consent form before any treatment is carried out. If you wish to also receive a treatment, this must be carried out on a different occasion where child isn't present.


Kay's Beauty Studio will not be held responsible for the loss of any jewellery or personal items removed before or during treatments.

We recommend that you leave any jewellery or personal items at home.


Acrylic Nails and Lash Infills must be booked no further than 3 weeks apart. If this is not abided by there will be a £25 surcharge for either treatment, due to the longer appointment timings and more product needed. 

Medical Conditions

You must inform Kay’s Beauty Studio Ltd. of any allergies, medical conditions, or change of medical history that you are aware of. You must also notify Kay’s Beauty Studio Ltd. of any medication that you are currently taking. You must notify Kay’s Beauty Studio Ltd. in writing if any of this information or any other personal information changes in the future. Kay's Beauty Studio Ltd. will not be held liable if you fail to provide this information upon arrival of your visit.
